Ugliest Carpet Contest
Presented by Carpet Liquidators & KOMO 4!
Think you have the ugliest carpet in the Northwest? Let us know. You could win gorgeous new carpet flooring from Carpet Liquidators!
If you think your carpet is the ugliest - take a photograph of your ugly carpet, then upload and enter the photo at KOMONEWS.COM/Carpet!
Tell your family, friends and neighbors to vote! The carpet with the most votes wins!
Entries will be accepted from June 28—July 18, 2010
PRIZES
1st place- carpet and pad for entire house* (up to 1000 square feet)
2nd place- carpet and pad for two rooms* (up to 500 square feet)
3rd place- carpet and pad for one room* (up to 250 square feet)
*Prize does NOT include installation costs. Prize winners are responsible for having all items moved before and after the carpet installation.
Also, all participants will receive an email for registering that contains a special offer from Carpet Liquidators: $200 off a purchase of $1000 or more or $100 off a purchase $500-$999.
**Winners are responsible for all taxes and installation costs associated with the prize.**

You must own and live in your own home.
The entry with the most votes will be the winner. In case of a tie – the winner will be randomly drawn from the tied entries. The winner will be contacted by phone or email no later than July 25th.
Entry deadline is 11:59:59 pm PDT on July 18th, 2010.
Contest dates valid June 28th- July 18th, 2010.
Chance of winning depends on number of eligible entries.
ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS&OFFICIAL RULES:
By entering this contest, entrant agrees to, and accepts all rules and eligibility requirements listed below:
ELIGIBILITY:
All contestants must be U.S. citizens or green card holders, and residents of Western Washington (Snohomish, Thurston, Kitsap, Island, Pierce, Mason, Jefferson, Skagit, Kittitas, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Cowlitz, Whatcom, San Juan, Chelan, Clallum and King Counties). Contest is void where prohibited.
Must be age 18 years old or older to enter.
No purchase necessary to enter or win.
One entry per household.
One winner per family.
Contestant must own and currently live in home in which carpet is to be installed.
Winner will be notified by phone or e-mail by 5pm July 19th, 2010.
KOMO 4 Television will make every attempt to contact the winner via telephone and/or email. If unable to reach the winner within two business days following the selection, another winner will be randomly drawn from the number of eligible entries collected online. The prize must be claimed by July 25th, 2010 or the prize will be forfeited and the unclaimed prize will be returned for selection of another winner.
The winner must complete a W-9 tax form as well as a Winner’s Release and Agreement in which they agree, among other things, that their child’s names, voice, and/or likenesses may be used by KOMO 4 Television and Carpet Liquidators for promotional purposes and that KOMO 4 Television and its employees are not liable for any claims arising from directly or indirectly from winning this promotion.
There is no substitution, cash equivalent or cash value for the prizes, other than stated above.
There is no substitution for prizes.
Winners are responsible for installation costs.
Winners are responsible for moving furniture and all items before and after installation.
KOMO 4 Television and Carpet Liquidators are not responsible for any conditions or circumstances that interfere with the winner’s ability to reach KOMO 4 Television or to claim their prize.
KOMO 4 Television reserves the right to change or reschedule the promotional giveaway without notice due to programming or any other circumstances beyond the station’s control.
Entrants agree that KOMO 4 Television shall not be liable for losses or injuries (including any property loss, personal injury or death) of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of prize, participation in contest, any human error or any technical malfunctions of the telephone or computer network or delays in postal or other delivery service.
Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including but not limited to technical malfunctions, human or technical error, typographical errors of any kind, seeding or printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of: any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event this contest is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the contest and in such event, to select a winner by random drawing from among all valid entries received up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.
Employees of Carpet Liquidators, KOMO 4, Fisher Broadcasting - Seattle Radio L.L.C. and Fisher Communications or any other media company and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
KOMO 4 reserves the right to terminate, change and/or amend the contest dates and rules at any time.
Fraudulent entries will be subject to prosecution.
